I've now had a chance to listen to Brian Blade for the first time. Both his album Perceptual and Dave Binney's Welcome to Life. I really like his playing. Very loose and free. I hear a lot of Elvin Jones in there. I want to really "listen" to the cd's but I really like his playing and his phrasing on his fills. I look forward to hearing more of his stuff.

Anyone have the concert with him and Joni Mitchell? It's got Larry Klein on bass; great concert. I gotta find it on DVD. (I'm assuming it exists)
